Compressed air in wastewater treatment facilities

Compressed air is used to bring oxygen into digesters in wastewater treatment plants for purification. The sludge and oxygen are fully mixed, which increases the gas yield and shortens its retention time in the reactor. Better results can be achieved by using warmer compressed air.
